Originally designed as a “playground equipment” the bronze hands statue was created by Toronto artist Luis Jacob. It is located at 35 Wellingtong St. E, Toronto downtown.

Behind the statue is a beautiful “dog fountain” monument. Both the statue and the fountain are situated in Berzcy Park.

With respect to the bronze statue, I’m not sure how much playing could have been done. It seems a bit odd for a plaything and for kids to play on.

Still, when it was first erected it had a number of ropes attached to it, creating a bridge like design between the two hands; Almost like the typical monkey bars you would find in a school yard playground.

However, when I was there, no ropes were found. Nevertheless, its artistic purpose can be appreciated. For me, it makes a background photo Haha.

If you find yourself in the downtown core near wellington street east, go and check out Berzcy Park and see the beautiful structure! Don’t forget to bring your friendly dog companions to see the dog fountain.

Canadian born, and an advocate for hydro-electricity, Sir Adam Bell was best known for establishing the hydro electric power commison of Ontario.His statue (standing roughly 3.7 metres tall) can be found in the downtown core at 250 university avenue, Toronto. The portrait sculpture of Adam Beck faces north towards the 1915 Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario office building and the Ontario Legislative Building, created thank to him.A civic leader in his right, he is widely recognized as leader in the electric power industry, and forever will be a hero for moving this great country forward to a brighter future.I encourage you to check out his auto biography or the encyclopedia for more details on this amazing individual, and learn about the infrastructure he created by bringing hydro electric power in the hands of the public.He unfortunately died in 1925, London, ON.

Located at 6100 Leslie St. North York, On stands the statue which represents the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College’s Vision, Mission, and Accreditation.

Recognized for creating leaders in spinal health, their mission is to deliver world class patient care through education and research.

As a patient at CMCC, and former student, this statue always reminds me of how much history this institution has!

Unfortunately there is no name for it, or info plate on the actual statue describing what it is and where it came from, but for as long as I’ve known, it remains a centrepiece, welcoming the new generation of spinal health leaders on their journey to creating a better future for our society.
